Sustainable Finance is a groundbreaking joint venture between two 100% New Zealand-owned, B Corp-certified organisations, Quadrent and Purpose Capital. This new entity is set to transform the way businesses, communities, and infrastructure providers access funding for decarbonisation and renewable energy projects.

Sustainable Finance was founded with a clear mission: to accelerate Aotearoa’s transition to a low-carbon economy by providing efficient, scalable, and asset-based financing solutions. The venture brings together Quadrent’s deep expertise in lease management and sustainable asset financing with Purpose Capital’s leadership in impact investment and capital raising.
“We believe that investing in decarbonisation today will secure prosperity and affordability for generations to come,” says Tony Getley, Managing Director of Quadrent and co-founder of Sustainable Finance. “This partnership is about more than finance - it’s about enabling tangible change across sectors that are critical to New Zealand’s future.”
Sustainable Finance offers a full-service financing suite tailored to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable transport initiatives. Its bespoke debt stack includes project finance, PPA funding, operating leases, and finance leases, all designed to meet the evolving needs of both private and public sector organisations.
“We’re here to fill a critical gap in New Zealand’s financial ecosystem,” says Matt Currie, Investment Director at Purpose Capital and co-founder of Sustainable Finance. “Our goal is to empower organisations with the capital they need to lead the charge toward a more sustainable, more resilient Aotearoa.”

Sustainable Finance was founded with a clear vision: A greener future for Aotearoa is good for all of us.
